Nuvem, India Overview
Nuvem is a village in Salcette within the South Goa district of India situated across the National Highway 17. Its population is mostly Roman Catholic. Its neighbouring villages are: Verna, known for its industrial estate; Majorda, known for its beach; and Seraulim. Nuvem is 17.9 km far from its District Main City Margao . It is 24 km far from its State Main City Panaji . Nuvem is home to two educational institutions: IAM (the leading hospitality college in India) and Carmel College.
The people of Nuvem enjoy the sport of football and Konkani dramas (tiatr)are extremely popular here. Nuvem has a Go-Karting track located on the hill top. It is considered as one of the best Go-Karting track in India. A new sporting activity called MILSIM-GOA, which is a variation of paintball, has just started in Gounlley, a ward in Nuvem. Milsim caters to real life tactical experiences for tourists and the locals.
