Koi Aai Than is a holy place but there is no temples, idols to worship still has a profound influence in the religious history of Assam. Koli Aai was daughter of head priest of Dibaru Satra but having no son, Koli Aai preached ideals of her father and kept Satra alive among a tribe who were their disciples. Koli Aai was believed to have a divine power. She suddenly vanished one day but left strong religious hold in the minds of the people.There are many other Satras (Monastry) in Dibrugarh like Dehing Satra, Dehing Namtii Satra, Dinjoy Satra, Moderkhat Satra and Garpara Satra.
