Kali Bridge was constructed in the year 1986 over the Kali River. This bridge serves to connect the state of Karnataka with Goa. Recently, many infrastructural changes were made on the bridge.
Karwar is small historic city from south Indian state Karnataka quite unexplored but highly potential tourist destination. Karwar was an important trade center during the Portuguese and British rule on the country and during those days was known as “Cintacora” . One interesting fact of the this coastal city is that Karwar is situated on the bank of River Kali.
Like the demands of merger of Belgaum with Maharashtra, local Konkani-speaking population of Karwar is demanding merger of city with Goa.
