It is situated on the top of the Benog Hill and has an idol of Mata Durga in it. The temple is surrounded by the forests and offers a panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks, Doon valley and Yamuna valley. As per Legends they say, Goddess Durga killed a Demon, who was molesting the saints and forcing them to pray him not God Shiva.
