This beautiful township is situated at an altitude of 1296 Mt. above sea level.

It is connected by a Cable Suspension Bridge, named as Anjaw, over the mighty Lohit River. Its pleasant climate, scenic landscape and unique ethnic culture make it one of the best places for visits.

The district headquarter Hawai is also blessed with the production of large number of horticultural crops like Kiwi, Pineapple, Orange, and agricultural crops like large cardamom, maize and bazra.
