Chaukhandi of Hazrat Khalil Ullah, Bidar, Karnataka India

Chaukhandi of Hazrat Khalil Ullah is an octagonal shaped tomb, which is located 4 km from Bidar. Built in honor of Hazrat Khali Ullah, the spiritual adviser of Sultan Ahmed Shah, this tomb is a two storeyed structure, noted for its architectural excellence. The calligraphy and stone work above the arched doorway illustrate the splendid architectural style of that period. The carved granite pillars and adorned walls of the tomb are a major tourist attraction. The row of royal tombs, including that of Alauddin Shah I, is within 2 km range. There is a cave temple easily reachable from the tomb. Bidar Railway Station (5 km) is the nearest railway station.
