Situated at around 30 Kms from Nalbari, the Buddhist temple was established 60 years ago by people of Nepali origin. The temple is also known as Sangdo Palgi Gumba. It is one of the biggest gumbas in the Nalbari district. It was initiated by Chhatra Singh in 1965. He also constructed a new Gumba for the temple in 1970-71.
On Buddha Purnima and Dhol Purnima, many devotees come to this Gumba for worship. Devotees also gather here annually at the time of the mela that is held on Buddha Jayanti.
