Badal Vilas (Mandir Palace), Jaisalmer, Rajasthan India

Badal Vilas is a 19th century palace that is the current residence of the royal family. Among its most important feature is the multi-tiered tower in the shape of a tazia. The tower was built in the 20th century as a parting gift to the maharawal from the town's muslim stone carvers who migrated to Pakistan after partition.

This is a beautiful carved palace with many attractive galleries and paintings. Private area and the restaurant is not allowed for the visitors to enter. At the top of the building the picture of Jaisalmer fort and town is visible.
