Airwan Temple, Airwan, Kathua, Jammu & KashmirAirwan village derives its name from Ravi River. The Airwan temple, built in the 4th century, was constructed by King Vikramaditya. The presiding deity of Airwan temple is Lord Shiva. Annual fairs are held at the temple during Mahashivratri and Baishakhi Festivals. There is a sacred rivulet in the temple vicinity, named Guptganga. Pilgrims visiting the temple, immerse the ashes of their relatives in the rivulet. By road, Airwan temple can be smoothly accessed from the nearby Kathua district. The nearest railhead is Kathua Railway Station.
