Vashishtha Gufa, Rikhikesh, Uttarakhand India

Vashishtha Gufa is located just 21 kms away from Rishikesh. It is a 3,000-year old cave situated on the Badrinath-Kedarnath route. This cave was home to sage Vashishtha and a Shivaling is installed inside the cave. The surroundings are full of natural beauty and serenity, which our mind seeks the most. On the way to Gufa, there is a beautiful waterfall too. You can catch a bus and tell the helper in the bus to drop you at the Gufa. After getting down, you will have to trek down a little to reach the Gufa. Not many tourists frequent this place.
