The table land of Panchgani, like the name suggests is an extremely large plateau, entirely made up of Laterite. It's one of the largest such formation in the world. It's filled with a fine, red dust kicked up by the horses that provide rides to tourists who come to see the formation and the majestic view of the Krishna Valley from the edge made famous in hundreds of Mumbai movies.
Table land boasts of being the longest plateau and is ranked at 2nd position in the whole of Asia. The whole expanse is made up of laterite rock. Situated at close quarters from Table land are the 2 visit-worthy and most favored tourist places namely, Devil’s kitchen and Rajpuri caves. Devil’s kitchen has been a cavernous corner in a hill which had served to be the place where Pandavas had made their temporary stay and made its use for the purpose of cooking.
