It is another attraction of Karaikal. Saneeswara Temple is located in the village of Thirunallar. This temple is located at a distance of almost 5 km from Karaikal. This is the only temple that is dedicated to Lord Shani (Saneeswaran, in Tamil). Whenever the planet Saturn transits from one zodiac sign to another, thousands of worshippers gather at this shrine. The King Nala is said to have been cured of his illness that was caused by the influence of Saturn, after worship in this temple.
