Ratnagiri Lighthouse, , Maharashtra

Ratnagiri Lighthouse stands at the southern end of the Jaigad fort. The passage on the side of the Fort wall leads to the Lighthouse. The lighthouse had been established by the port during the early 18th century for the monitoring the vessels to cross the bay. After the British moved into the area, they improved the existing structure. From the top of the lighthouse, you can see an eye-catching view of the sea up to 28 nautical miles.
