Parunthumpara is very well famous as a shooting location (Nasrani, Bramaram etc). It is a very beautiful place just five Kilometer away from Peermade and ten Kilometer away from Vandiperiyar. It looks like a vast stretch of rook spotted with lush green grass.  . This place can be described as a hill point blessed with natural beauty at its peak. We can view "Makara Jothi" (sabarimala) from this place.

It is very pleasant to view from the top of the hill. From the top of the hill you can see the beauty of other places in Parunthumpara. It is fully covered with abundant a coffee, cardamom and tea plantations which looks like a green carpet on both side of the roads in Parunthumpara. And it has a thick forest and dozens of rivers where tribal people are residing.  And it is also perfect place for trekking. It can be easily reached from Kumily to Peermede which is located within 6 km from this place.
