Probably Maharashtra is the only state in central India with an established system of paragliding training and paragliding sites. For a trained individual there are many paragliding sites with perfect lift and landing sites along the ridges of Sahyadris like Panchgani Kamshet Bhandardara and Chikhaldara. Panchgani is the unofficial head quarter of paragliding in Maharashtra with some very beautiful flying sites in Bhilar, Khinger and near Tapola.
