Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary, Roing, Arunachal Pradesh India

 Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary, Arunachal PradeshMehao Wildlife Sanctuary is named after the Mehao Lake. The Mehao Lake is a natural fresh water lake of Roing. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful places in Arunachal Pradesh. It is located at an elevation of around 3,000 feet in the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary. It is situated at about 28 degree and 12 minutes and 30 seconds North and 95 degree and 49 minutes and 11 seconds East. The Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in Lower Dibang Valley district, and extended at an altitudes ranging from 400 meters to 3568 meters above sea level.

Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary that was built in 1980, also experiences the subtropical type of climate. The temperature is ranging from well below freezing point in the cold weather months in the higher elevations and to a maximum of 30 degree Celsius in the summer months. The sanctuary receives in excess of 2500 millimetres of rainfall annually. Most of the precipitation is from the southwest monsoon during the months from July to September and higher areas are snowbound in winter.
