How to Reach Margao,

Within Margao you can get around by bus, shared taxi, motorcycle taxi or auto rickshaws. Local buses can be boarded at the bus stand outside Kamat Hotel near the main square. Buses are available for Benaulim, Colva and Cabo da Rama. Chauffeured vehicles can also be hired for either full day or half day.

Margao by Road:

Long distance buses pull in at Margao's Kadamba Bus Stand on the outskirts of town, with buses coming in from Panjim (33 km), Vasco, North Goa, Mangalore and Mumbai.

Margao by Train:

Margao is well connected by train, being the main station in Goa for the Konkan Railway plying between Maharashtra and Karnataka. Trains come in from Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Trivandrum and other major cities of the country. From the station you can get pre-paid autorickshaws, taxis and buses to reach your destination.

Margao by Air:

Goa’s airport, Dabolim, is 29 km south of Panaji, bordering the city of Vasco da Gama. Chartered flights come in from Europe and from major Indian cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Thiruvanthapuram and Kochi. From the airport, you can take a pre-paid taxi/shared taxi into town.
