 Masrur Situated at the height of 800 m, 15 kms south of Kangra, on the Jwalamukhi - Kangra Rd. It is well - known for the 15 cave temples, built in the 9th and 10th centuries, in the Shikhar style of Indo - Aryan art. The deities here are SreeRam, Lakshman and Sita. There is an artificial lake in the temple complex.This fort belongs to the Kotak dynasty. This fort was damaged by the earthquake of 1950.This temple is a replacement of the 4th century Marichi Vajravarahi Temple, which was ruined by Sultan Mahmud. The range of Dhauldhar is visible from this temple. You may attend the Mangalarati in the evening. There is the temple of Adinath, the Jain Tirthankar, in front of the temple.
