Jolingkong Lake, Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand India

Jolingkong where there is a sacred lake and Hindu temple. Above Jolingkong rises a striking peak, well over 6000 metres in altitude, known to local people as Adi Kailash (half kailash) because of its distinct resemblance to Holy Mount Kailash which in fact lies 110km to the north in Tibet. Adi Kailash has become better known to Westerners as Little Kailash.
