Aharbal: The Department of Tourism has initiated plans to give a facelift to the Aharbal Waterfall to attract tourists.

Muhammad Shafi Kakroo, Chief Executive Officer of the Aharbal Development Authority, revealed that a tourist information cell is being constructed to facilitate tourists and provide them with the required information.

“We will be creating a tourist information cell so that tourist can get every type of information. We are also opening a satellite centre so that tourist can make prior booking for accommodation or any other information. This project will be completed by the end of this year,” Kakroo said.

The waterfall is located around 75 kilometres from Srinagar and offers some of the most picturesque locales and breathtaking views.

The source of the gushing water is located at Kausar Nag, a beautiful lake situated at about 12000 feet above sea level.
