In 1163, this temple was built by Rudra Deva. It is a fine architecture of Kakatiyan period. This star shaped temple is devoted to three deities, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and Lord Surya. These three holy places are marvellously situated on Hanumakonda hills’ slopes. It is known for its thousand pillars which are finely carved and the spirited, detailed delicate screens and sculptures. Another attraction here is the Nandi, a tall statue of nearly six feet, made from massive black basalt .The temple is made attractive and favourite among visitors by several lingams in the temple area; carefully carve ceilings, doors and inscriptions on pillars and walls, at the noticeable Hanumakonda hills background.
