New Life Church Ministries is the first Christian Mission in the Katikund Block and runs one of its largest Orphanages and Child Rehabilitation Center 20kms from Dumka. Since its inception in 2005 New Life Children Home has been accorded to rescue and rehabilitate over 500 orphaned and abandoned tribal children belonging to the various tribes of Jharkhand, Presently they house 150 children at their home. This organization has been certified with the ISO 9001:2008 recognition. They also run a school in the block that provides free primary education to the local tribal.
