Mehao Lake, Roing, Arunachal Pradesh India

The Mehao Lake is a part of the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary and is located at an altitude of about 3000 feet. This natural lake is one of the most beautiful tourist spots of Roing.

Spread over an area of about 4 sq. km, the clean and clear water body is a major attraction to not only visitors but also to a number of wild ducks. Beautiful flowering plants, trees and rare vegetation enrich the glory of the lake further.

Boating in the lake is an absolute pleasure. Trekking is yet another fun filled activity around the lake in the dense and unexplored forest.

The lake has been termed as anOligotrophic (Low Nutrient) Lake by geologists as there are no fishes in the lake.
