Dindigul hills provide a chance to the visitors to go for sightseeing as from the hills one can see the panoramic view of the city. The hills are in the shape of pillows and hence, the name of the city is inspired from these hills which are ‘Thadu’ i.e. the shape of a pillow and ‘Kal’ i.e. rock. The famous attraction of this hill is the flower which blooms in every 12 years and is known as the Kurunji flower.
