Abirami Amman Temple is located in the center of Dindigul city, and is one of the prime attractions there. Navaratri is a very important festival, and during this occasion Goddess Abirami will be on Kolu. Around one lakh archana is usually offered to the Goddess Gnamambikal during this time. During the Fridays in the month of Aadi, Goddess Abirami is taken out in procession on a flower palanquin.
