Srinagar > Awantipur > Larikpur > Bijbehara > Anantnag > Sheer Pora > Doni Pawa > Achabal. 2.Jammu > Achabal - 248 kms – National Highway 1A. Jammu > Udhampur > Batote > Banihal > Quazigund > Anantnag > Sheer Pora > Doni Pawa > Achabal. 3.Jammu > Kishtwar > Kokernag - 362 kms – NH 1A & NH 1B. Jammu > Udhampur > Batote > Doda > Kishtwar > Dul > Singpur > Achbal.

Acchabal by Train:

The nearest railhead to Achabal is the Jammu Tawi Railway Station. Jammu is connected to other parts of the country on broad gauge. Several passenger trains ply from various parts of the country to Jammu and one can reach Jammu overnight from New Delhi. Jammu Tawi Railway Station (Station Code JAT) is a vital rail junction in the Northern Railways which is a last major junction before Udhampur where a majority of passengers disembark. At Jammu Tawi, computerized reservation facility is available. Just outside the Jammu Railway Station, State-run (J&K SRTC) buses, private buses and taxis are available to transport travelers to Achabal. From Achabal, Jammu is about 250 kms via National Highway 1A and National Highway 1B crossing Udhampur, Qazigund, Anantnag, Doni Pawa, enroute and takes about 5 hours travel time by road.

Acchabal by Air:

The nearest airport to Achabal is Srinagar Airport (SXR) at about 67 kms and takes about 1.5 hours to 2 hours travel time by road due to the mountainous topography of the place. At Srinagar one can get connecting flights to the rest of the country frequently as Srinagar is a tourism-centered city. Daily flights ply between Srinagar, Jammu, Delhi, and Mumbai. Pre-paid taxis are available at the Srinagar airport apart from shared taxis, and State-run buses which take about 2 hours to reach Achabal by road. Taxis plying between Srinagar Airport and Achabal charge between Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1500 depending on the season.
