Trimbakeshwar or Trambakeshwar is an ancient Hindu temple in the town of Trimbak, in the Nashik District of Maharashtra, India, 28 km from the city of Nashik GPS Reference 19°55′N, 73°30′E. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.
The town derived its name from the Trimbakeshwar Shiva Temple, which is one among the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The presiding deity of Trimbakeshwar Temple, Lord Shiva, embodies three faces that denote Trimurthi – Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. Kushavarta, the source of River Godavari, is also located in Trimbakeshwar.
