A beautiful place for visitors, State Government Museum is located within the Vellore Fort which was opened in the year 1985. This museum offers archaeology, weapons, sculptures, pre-history and the numerous objects of art. Tourists can enjoy viewing different types of material like handicrafts, philately, geology, zoology, botany, numismatics and exhibits of wood carvings etc.
