Shiv Temple, Bastar,

This monument is situated in Ghumarmund Para of Chitrakot about 36 kms. from Jagadalpur and 0.5 kms. from the water fall site in the village. This ruined temple faces east and consists of a ‘Garbhagriha’ (sanctum) on which big Shivalinga was installed in square jaladhari. This Shiva temple was built during 11th-12th cent. A.D. in the reign of rulers of Chhindaka Naga dynasty. We can see the glimpse of regional architecture in this ruined temple.
