Pithapuram, a famous religious place in Kakinada is situated at a distance of just 20 Kms from the city. It is also known as one of the five Madava Keshatras, one of the twelve pilgrim centers and one of the Asta Data Sakthi Petas. It is believed as one the ancient pilgrim centers in India.
