Phawngui, Aizawl, Mizoram India

"Phawngui" or the Blue Mountain, is the highest mountain peak in Mizoram. The Blue Mountain is considered as the abode of gods to whom annual sacrifices are offered. On the peak, there is a level ground about 200 hectares which is surrounded by matted bamboo groves, bewutiful trees, rare flora species, orchids and rhododendrons which have survived owing to the isolation of the mountain. There are breathtaking views of the blue hazed hills and vales.
