Manipur Zoological Garden, Imphal, Manipur

The Manipur Zoological Garden is located at the foot of the pine growing hillocks of Imphal. The main attraction of the garden is the Brow Antlered deer, which is a rare species. In addition to this one can also find some other rare species of animals such as the Lissome. The garden also houses many endangered animals and birds of the region with about 55 species of birds and around 420 animals with about 14 endangered species.

The garden has spectacular greenery and a real peaceful atmosphere. The only thing one can hear is the sound of the animals.

Spread over an area of about 8 hectares it is also famous as the Jewel Box of Manipur.

The Manipur Agriculture University is located over close to the garden. The surrounding area is covered with paddy fields.
