Kalapathar Beach, Havelock Island, Andaman & Nicobar India

This beach gets its name from its surrounding village which is known as Kalapathar. It is the place where people come to relax. People can also visit elephant training camp which is located near the beach.

Havelock Island is the most famous and the most beautiful Island of Andaman and Nicobar group. While Havelock Island is mainly known for Radhanagar Beach, there are many other beautiful beaches as well. Today’s beach in the picture is Kala Pathar beach which is about 6-8 kms away from Dolphin resort. 

The Kalapathar beach is situated on one corner of Havelock Island. The beach gets its name from the surrounding village, which is Kalapathar Village and the black rocks (known as Kalapathar in Hindi) that adorn the coastline here.

The emerald seas, the tropical forests on one side of the road(Kalapathar Rocks) the coastline,and on other side the silken smooth silver sands and the sheer solitude make this beach a great place to relax.
