The important species in the santuary are deer, chinkara, gazelle and the spotted dear. There are other species as well like Nilgai, Sambar, Chausingha, sloth bear, wild boar, jackal and hyna. Among the birds there are peacock, fowl, pigeon, quail, parrot and stork. At times the migratory birds also visit this palce, Tigers and leopards are also there at the Badalkhol Wildlife Sanctuary Madhya Pradesh. They are however in limitated numbers. A lot of rare birds can be seen in these santuaries and is considered to be a bird watchers paradise. At times you also get the opportunity to meet a bison.
