The Yevateshwar is around 5-7 kms from Satara. It is the place of Lord Shiva Temple. You can notify a high altitude life style, and greenery on the way to Yevateshwar. You can also take a beautiful view of Satara city.
The Yevateshwar is on a hill top. So if you visit morning or at evening time you will see people coming for walk. It is a very peaceful place like Kurneshwar. If you are coming in the afternoon, then you will see many youngsters on bike going towards Yevateshwar Ghat. Early morning view of city and this place is really beautiful, if you are visiting during rainy season and winter. But both the seasons are strong in this region. You can also take nice photographs of Satara city, Ajinkyatara fort and few seasonal water falls on the way.
The Yevateshwar temple is on the left hand side of road on the way to kaas. This place is Free from the city crowd, pollution and noise. You can sit inside the temple as long as you want and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. It is Lord shiva's temple so generally there are more people on Monday and on Festival days like Mahashivratri and Mondays in Indian Calendar month of Shravan. These are the days when this place attracts huge crowd for worship. You will see two Nandi idols at the entrance. On the back side of temple you can see the forest.
