The Ambazari Lake, Nagpur, Maharashtra India

The Ambazari Lake, on the western part of the city, covers an area of about 15 sq kms. The lake is surrounded by a landscaped garden, children’s park and offers boating facilities. Musical fountain shows are a main attraction, especially on weekends. The Maharaj Baug Zoo, laid down by the Bhonsle rulers, is another highlight. Today, it is a botanical garden and a mini-zoo housing some rare species of birds and animals. Gandhi Baug is a beautifully landscaped garden named after Mahatma Gandhi.
