Subathu is a site where one comes across the Gurkha Fort remains. Even at present, the place is known as the cantonment.

Gurkha Fort is located in Subathu which is around 16 km from Parwanoo. Subathu is a contentment area and the ruins of the historical Gurkha fort can be still found here.

Subathu, located in the foothills of the Himalayas, is known for being the regimental center of the Gurkha Rifles. Tradition of courage and chivalry of Gurkha warriors is on display in Gurkha Museum which houses exhibits from 1815, including portraits of all who brought praise to the Gurkha.
