Sitabuldi Fort is a magnificent structure built by a British officer, in the year 1857. It stands perched on the Twin Mountains and is visited on a frequent basis by tourists in large numbers. Mahathma Gandhi was jailed here for sometime. The charka and chappal used by him are kept in the cell which prisoned the Gandhi. The connection of Tipu Sultan with Nagpur is to be assessed after seeing this fort which is open to public only on the National Holidays.
