Kothandaramaswamy Temple, Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu India

Kothandaramaswamy Temple is located 12 kms away from Rameswaram. A popular belief is that Vibishana, brother of Ravana, surrendered before Rama here. 

Nestled on the southernmost tip of the country, Kothandaramaswamy temple has gone through with some critical times in the past. During the cyclone, the temple stood strong whereas several nearby areas were washed away completely.
