Gleneagles of the East is regarded as one of the largest golf courses. In 1898,a group of British officers introduced golf to Shillong .It was actually started with a nine-hole course but later on in 1924,the 18 hole course was introduced. Undulating valley with pine and rhododendron trees accentuate the beauty of the region.
