Akola fort (also called Asadgad or Asagad) along with the Narnala and Akot forts forms the major fortifications of the Akola district, Maharashtra, India.The fort was constructed in 1697 by Asad Khan, during the rule of Aurangzeb. In 1870, the fort was destroyed and ravaged by the British.
