Renigunta, India Overview
Renigunta in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh, is a suburban area of Tirupati , a major pilgrimage centre for Hindus. Renigunta was initially set up as a railway junction to decongest the traffic at Tirupati East railway station. Later in the 1970s, Tirupati Airport was set up. This Tirupati suburb is popularly known as the 'Dwaar' (Entrance) to the temple city of Tirupati. It was oncle primarily a British economic centre mainly because of its Railway line(The first Railway line between Renigunta and Pudi in Andhra Pradesh).
