Town Gateway is oneof the historic attractions of Poompuhar Town. This gateway was built in 1792, in the Danish architectural style. The design of this gateway resembles those of the typical gateways that existed in Europe during the renaissance period. It was originally built by the British but has Danish architectural style because Danish architects were employed for building it.
