Shilloi lake, Phek, Nagaland India

Shilloi Lake or Lachem Lake is about 300 km east of Kohima, running along the Burma border.Shaped like a human foot, it lies on the foot of the hills and spreads over 0.25 sq km. This lake is believed to be the abode of spirits.

Located in Phek District of Nagaland, Shilloi Lake can be accessed from Phek via Meluri.

The most prominent tourist attraction in the Phek district, Sillio Lake is a beautiful, mesmerising water body shaped as a footprint. The Sillio Lake is also known as the Latsam by the locals. The enchanting location of the lake makes a visit to it worthwhile. Located on the lower slopes of the Patkai Range bordering Myanmar, the lake has an area of 0.25 to 0.30 sq. km. The depth of the lake is 4 metres.
