This is 'sun-rise' point. The longest point in Matheran. Almost 6 kms from market. One can see 'Neral' on east and 'Panvel' on the west of the point. The other points in Matheran like Sunset Point, Monkey Point, Maldunga Point and Heart Point etc. are also to the west. If weather is good, you can see Khandala and Bhimashankar ranges as well. Truly, 'the king of all points' is Matheran.The Panorama Point in Matheran occupies the largest stretch on the hill top. It is located at a distance of about 6 km from the market and is also known as Sunset point. Notably, the peak is called Panorama Point because it provides stunning views of many other points in Matheran, nearby hills, forts and villages. One can catch a glimpse of the rising sun from Panorama point, apart from viewing the Sunset Point, Hart Point, Monkey Point, Porcupine Point and Louisa Point. During non-misty days, Peb Fort, Prabhal Fort, Chanderi, Navra-Navri Peak, Mhas-mal Peak, Neral, Panvel, Khandala and Bhimshankar Hills can be spotted from Panorama Point. Thus, the natural yet strategic location of this point, giving splendid views across Shayadri ranges makes it one of the most visited points in Matheran.
