The Kalyana Venkattramana Swamy temple situated at Thanthoni, 5 Kms from Karur and is one of the most popular temples in the district. The shrine of the Lord Vishnu is situated on top part of a hillock and is popularly known as South Tirupathi. The idols of other Goddesses like Bhoomi Devi and Sri Devi are also worshipped in the temple.
