Sir Jamshedji Jeejeebhoy constructed the Bund Gardens. The Bund gardens, which are next to the river, are just the place for evening strolls on the lush green grass. Boating and rowing facilities are also available over here. There is a Ganesh temple situated in the vicinity of the park too
The Bund Garden is located only 2 km away from the Pune railway station. The garden is just like a mini dam constructed over Mula-Muttha River. One can have an incredible view of the surrounding areas from the garden. Boating facilities are also available inside the park. Constructed by Sir Jamshedji Jeejeebhoy, Bund Garden has a well-designed jogging track also. Early mornings as well as evenings see a heavy rush of joggers at the park. Bund garden is also a bird watcher's paradise, especially in winters. In the winter season, one can see some of the exotic species of migratory birds here. The garden is also known as the Mahatma Gandhi Udyan and is quite popular amongst kids.
