The existence of this renowned temple can be traced back to the time period of 19th century. There are some rooms present which are underground rooms and also a sacred water tank is there close to this temple.

The establishment of the Radha Krishna Temple in Kawardha, India is said to have taken place some 180 years ago by one of the ancestors of Raja Ujiyar Singh.

The Radha Krishna Temple, Kawardha has underground rooms in which the saints (known as Sadhu in Hindi) used to practice their religious ceremonies and rituals.
