Not very far from Ukhrul, there is another cave that forms part of Kangkhul village. As with other caves of antiquities, there are numerous myths that are linked to this place. As per believe, a deity named Nagsor used to live here along with his two wives. The two ladies used to live here in separate chambers; as first wive was healthy she was provided with a bigger chamber while the second one was offered small chambers. As the second one had issues, she was given a number of rooms.
The Khangkhui Cave, locally called as the Khangkhui Mangsor Cave, is essentially a natural limestone cave. Archaeologists have discovered many important artefacts, dating back to the Palaeolithic culture, from this cave.
There is also a huge hall inside the cave, which is known as the durbar hall of the devil king. The northern hall inside the cave is believed to be his royal bedroom, where he used to live with his two wives. There are two separate chambers inside the cave for his first and second wives.
