Bhand Devra Temple, also known as the Khajuraho of Rajasthan, was constructed between the 11th and 12th centuries. This temple lies on Ramgarh hill and is under the Government for its restoration work. It is a Lord Shiva Temple that was constructed in the traditional Khajuraho style. The temples lie on the banks of a small pond and is known as the mini Khajuraho of Rajasthan. Ramgarh hill is also famous for the ancient Kisnai and Annapurna Devi temples that are located inside a cave. These temples can be reached by over 750 steps that were constructed here by Jhala Jalim Singh. One of the goddesses of the temple is worshipped with meva and the other goddess is worshipped with mas-madira. During Kartik Purnima, a fair is organised at this temple for worshipping the two goddesses.
Bhand Devra Temple is located on the Ramgarh Hill, 40 km away from Baran. It is dedicated to the Hindu Lord Shiva and is popularly known as the ‘Khajuraho of Rajasthan’. Located on the banks of a pond, this shrine was built in the 10th century. At present, it is under the Archaeological Department for some renovation work. The temples of Kisnai and Annapurna Devi are also located on the Ramgarh Hill. These shrines are situated inside a natural cave and travellers can reach here by climbing around 750 stairs which were built by Jhala Jalim Singh. One of the deities of the temple is worshipped with meva or dry fruits while the other is offered meat and liquor.
